At 6:00 PM I reached this summit of Blood Mountain. An hour earlier I'd sidetracked to Woods Hole Shelter, where several of us were planning to stay that night, and found only a small-print yellow-highlighted notice of the bear-canister requirement. With no posting at Jarrard Gap, the region's southern boundary, I pity anyone who hadn't heard about it beforehand!
