I depacked at Ballindalloch Station, on the River Spey, at 4:40 PM. The afternoon had included some steep climbing, attractive woods, then a descent to and crossing of A95. I was grateful that the day's final two miles, almost to Mile 31 of the Way, were on a level road along the river. A group of about a dozen nice teenagers, doing the Duke of Edinburgh Canoe Challenge, was already there.
