I left Sassafrass Gap Shelter at 8:50 AM, a little before Tenderfoot and Brad were ready. The Maine boys had broken the trail, through drifts sometimes knee high, despite sparse and/or snow-concealed blazes. There was a nice view here at Cheoah Bald at 9:45 AM but my ground-mounted short tripod couldn't capture it.
