At 8:00 AM, everyone but these two fellows and me has left (and they're on their way!), hustling the 2 miles north to Winding Stair Gap to catch Ron Haven's shuttle to Franklin. I seemed to be alone in thinking he also picked up at Rock Gap, just 0.1 mile away and within sight of the shelter! This made me very nervous... but the shuttle van rescued me from the frigid, windy Rock Gap parking area about 9:30 AM!
